Spiderman Full PC Game

Spider-Man Review

Spider-Man will let you play hero for a day, but be ready to fight with the game's weaknesses as well as its villains.

Once bitten, twice the guy. Thanks to the bite of an irradiated spider, budding boy genius Peter Parker suddenly finds himself turned into a superhuman with the powers of a spider. The rest is comic book history. As the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man, Parker has been entertaining legions of fans for 40 years through a string of comic book titles and animated series. If the Spider-Man game is any indication, the general love affair with all things Spidey burns as brightly as ever. Originally developed by Neversoft, the developer behind the hit Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, Spider-Man first swung its way onto the PlayStation, and soon leapt to the Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, and Dreamcast. Now the third-person action-adventure game has come to the PC to make true believers out of computer gamers. Along the way, though, it's run into a few snags that often dampen the game's more entertaining aspects.

The story, told through cutscenes, voice-overs, and in-game dialogue, opens at a conference held by the renowned Dr. Otto Octavius, who's preparing to demonstrate his latest invention. While the good doctor pontificates about the virtues of progress through technology, Spider-Man suddenly leaps onto the stage and makes off with Octavius' device before the assembled crowd. Since the real Spider-Man, Peter Parker, stands among the members of the press taking photos for the Daily Bugle newspaper, it can only mean an imposter is at large and ruining Spidey's already tenuous reputation. Parker's jealous journalistic competition at the Bugle, Eddie Brock, also witnesses the shocking event. The fact that Octavius is really the supervillain Dr. Octopus and Brock plays host to an evil alien symbiote named Venom can only mean more outlandish trouble for our wall-crawling hero. This game takes classic superhero melodrama and unashamedly runs with it.

After the game's mysterious opening sequence, you begin your heroic adventures in New York City. You start by foiling a bank heist and then move up to greater challenges like evading a missile-firing police helicopter that chases after our framed hero. Later, you'll fight swarming lizardmen on top of a rushing subway train and battle alien symbiotes in the Daily Bugle. All told, there are eight main locations, like Manhattan's rooftops, a high-rise bank, and the New York City sewer system, making for around 30 3D levels in all. Gameplay primarily revolves around platform jumping, a little stealth, and beating up lots and lots of bad guys. During your adventures, you'll meet fellow heroes like Daredevil, Black Cat, and the Human Torch who'll offer tips and villains like Scorpion, Rhino, and Venom who'll beat you to a pulp if you're not quick with your webshooters.

No matter how smartly you play, be ready for some hassles--the game uses a save point system instead of letting you save when you choose. Game designers seem to ignore the fact that in the real world, not all gamers have the luxury of playing for long, uninterrupted stretches until they can reach a save point or the end of a level. At least you can tackle the game on four different difficulty levels, including a "kid mode" that simplifies the controls and gameplay for the younger set.

To foil villains and save the day, you'll employ around 18 moves. For simple problems, a number of simple solutions are on hand (or foot): You can jump, grab, punch, and kick your way out of the game's lesser binds. Thanks to that fateful spider bite, Spidey can perform all these moves with extraordinary strength and agility. These core moves can be linked into combos, like jumping punches or the "grab and kick," where you sneak up behind a villain, grab him, and then unceremoniously give him the boot.

EA Sports is a brand of Electronic Arts that creates and develops sports video games. Formerly a marketing gimmick of Electronic Arts, in which they tried to mimic real-life sports networks by calling themselves "EA Sports Network" (EASN) with pictures or endorsements of real commentators such as John Madden, it soon grew up to become a sub-label on its own, releasing game series such as NBA Elite, FIFA, NHL, Madden NFL, and NASCAR. Most games under this brand are developed by EA Canada, the studio of Electronic Arts in Burnaby, British Columbia, as well as at EA Blackbox, Vancouver, British Columbia and EA Tiburon in Maitland, Florida. EA Sports mainly competes with 2K Sports.

EA SPORTS(TM) Cricket 07

EA SPORTS(TM) Cricket 07 PC-GAME:

The 2007 edition of cricket world cup is just round the corner. While the teams prepare for the start of their world cup campaign, there could not be a better time to do a quick review of latest EA Sports offering for the billions of cricket fans across the world. While watching your favorite cricketers battle it out for the ultimate prize in world cricket, you'll often feel the urge to be at their place and experience it on your own. That is where a game like EA Sports Cricket 2007 comes in handy and allows you to go through all the anguish and glory witnessed by those cricketers.

This edition of the game, released days before the beginning of The Ashes comes in a 2CD pack. The installation is straight forward and usual EA Sports setup. There is nothing extraordinary here. Once the game is installed, you get down to the business and a serious one at that. You’ll be greeted with another customary EA Sports Cricket interface. No shocks here and no visible changes from the last edition either. The interface is good, clean, simple and easy to navigate though sometimes you get the feeling that there’s no way you can reach certain parts with that keyboard of yours. It is indeed frustrating but the good old mouse comes to the rescue.

[BREAK=Batting & Bowling]

Now, on to the game play. This surprisingly is a lot better than any of the earlier editions. At a time when none of us expected EA Sports to better this area after they failed to do so in all their previous attempts, it certainly came up as a pleasant surprise. It is not to say that the game play is perfect. Far from it but at least it’s a good step forward. In simpler terms, game play in EA Sports Cricket 2007 has improved. The improvement can be seen in all three areas of the game – batting, bowling and fielding.

The batting and bowling control remains almost unchanged from the last edition. What has changed is the way they work. As a batsman, you can select your shot direction, back foot or front foot and the power behind that shot. It’s far easier to play the game with a gamepad where you can use one analog stick to determine the shot direction and power while using the other for controlling the player’s foot movement. This new control system is termed by EA Sports as the ‘Century Stick’. As a bowler, you select the type of ball you want to bowl, the spin, the direction and the pace. You press the keys as shown on your monitor screen for the type of ball to bowl. Special deliveries like Yorker and Bouncer come up from time to time when the batsman is low on confidence. Some bowlers also have their own special balls to bowl like the ‘Doosra’ for Harbhajan Singh.

[BREAK=Conclusion & Ratings]

It’s time to conclude my review with ratings for each category I touched up on. The game is okay sort of a game which has improved over time. Finally after so many attempts, EA Sports have been able to come up with a decent all round game. Add to the fact that its World Cup season, I expect the game to sell good in major cricket playing countries like India, Australia and England. The next cricket release from Codemasters still has some more time to go before it hits the shelves and hence it’s a win-win situation for EA Sports. I’d recommend this game to all cricket lovers and for the first time, I’d say it’s worth your money. Get the game and relive the moments from the World Cup again and again.

Ratings:
• Graphics – 7/10
• Sounds - 6/10
• Commentary - 8/10
• Gameplay - 7/10
• Overall - 7/10

THE THING-PC GAME

The Thing Review

If it weren't for a general scarcity of terror and a control scheme unsuited to its action-oriented gameplay, The Thing would be great.

Given the bleak track record of movie-to-game translations, The Thing--based on John Carpenter's 1982 horror film, which was itself a remake of the 1951 Howard Hawks original--comes saddled with some understandably low expectations. Against the odds, it's actually good. In fact, if it weren't for a general scarcity of terror and a control scheme unsuited to its action-oriented gameplay, The Thing would be great.

Rather than retelling the movie's plot, the game starts right where the movie ended. You're sent to investigate the pair of Antarctic research stations that provided the setting for the film's events. Along the way, you'll run across various survivors and fellow investigators, with whom you can team up. This is The Thing's most innovative idea. At any given point, you can have as many as three computer-controlled teammates traveling with you. You can hand them weapons and ammo, heal them, and give them simple dog commands such as stay and follow. Because the thing itself is a parasitic infection, nobody knows who's infected and who isn't. Teammates each have a trust meter that gauges how firmly they believe you're not a thing. Various actions, such as healing them, helping them in combat, and giving them equipment, all raise this trust level, while other actions lower it. If a companion doesn't trust you, he (they're all male) won't follow your orders and may eventually even attack you. Each person also has a fear level. As his terror rises, he becomes more unhinged. If nothing is done to relieve his fear, he'll eventually go crazy, at which point he may become totally unresponsive, kill himself, wet his pants, or start firing his weapon blindly. Roughly the same actions that increase a team member's trust in you will also quell his fears. Of course, any of your companions may actually be a thing, meaning at some point he'll transform into a monster.

In theory, this fear/trust/infection system sounds like a great way to capture the film's atmosphere of unremitting paranoia. In practice, however, it has little impact on the game. The actions that earn your teammates' trust and lower their fear are all things you'd be doing anyway--arming them, supplying them with ammo, healing them, and fighting monsters. So while it's possible for a sidekick to lose his mind or turn on you, it'll never actually occur except as the result of a conscious decision on your part to make it happen just to witness the results. Only once during the short seven hours it took to finish The Thing did a team member ever succumb to fear, and that may have been a largely unavoidable part of a puzzle sequence.

The threat of companions turning into things is less a source of terror and more a minor inconvenience, since the things are generally no match for your weapons. When a teammate turns, you'll kill him and move on. It's generally no great loss, both because existing team members often don't follow you across level transitions and because new members are available at regular intervals. Every other video game is about a solitary hero fighting a horde of monsters, so just having a coterie of armed guards--even if some of them are things--actually further undercuts the game's horror quotient.

In fact, The Thing is really more of an action game with monsters to shoot than a moody survival horror piece. The hallmarks of the survival horror genre--a relatively frail hero and a scarcity of munitions--simply don't apply here. As in a traditional run-and-gun shooter, weapons, ammo, and health are abundant, and your character can take a real beating. At no point will you be low on health and down to your last few bullets. Compared to you, the things themselves are pretty weak. You'll often find yourself chasing a thing as it flees in terror from your flamethrower. So in some sense, it works as survival horror from the thing's perspective.

However, as an action game, The Thing is largely successful. The controls are its only real drawback. You view your character from a third-person perspective. You can look left and right with the mouse, but not up and down. In order to look up or down, you need to hold in a free-look key, during which time you can't move. Unless you're in the free-look mode, aiming is automatic. It's a control scheme much more suited to a console gamepad (The Thing is also available on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox) than the PC's combination of a keyboard and mouse. Having no auto-aim (or even an option to toggle it on or off) and a persistent free-look--essentially the de facto standard in third-person PC games--would have made for a much more satisfying control scheme.

Other than that, though, The Thing is a good shooter. The teammate AI is great in a fight, and there are a lot of well-staged battles. One that takes place in a small building being attacked from all four sides by waves of things is especially intense. The puzzles are lightweight, but generally intuitive. The game has an almost perfect blend of story and gameplay--interesting things happen without intruding on the ongoing action. The game even utilizes a limited save system that, with a few exceptions, is lenient enough to avoid being frustrating.

Assasin's Creed Brotherhood Saved Game

Assasin's Creed Brotherhood

Few nonsequel games are the subject of as much hype as Assassin's Creed has been. While games like Halo 3 are expected to garner their share of the headlines, Ubisoft has done a great job of keeping Assassin's Creed in front of gamers during the run-up to its release, whether by its secrecy about the game's sci-fi storyline, its long-time silence on whether or not it would appear on the Xbox 360, or by the somewhat controversial decision to set the game in real cities of the Middle East during the Crusades, an era of history that has interesting lessons for today's world.

Of course, it shouldn't be implied that Assassin's Creed is coming out of nowhere; it is, after all, developed by the massively talented Ubisoft Montreal studio, creators of the Splinter Cell and updated Prince of Persia games. It builds on the combat systems of the Prince of Persia games and melds them with next-gen graphics and a taut style of acrobatic, open-ended gameplay for a game that's quite a bit of fun to play.

GameSpot's Game Guide to Assassin's Creed features the following items:
Combat Tips

Walkthrough
A full walkthrough for the game's many assassinations.

Short Blade

The short blade is similar to the long blade, but allows for quicker attacks and has some flashier kill animations; most of the combat maneuvers are the same for either weapon. It's worth noting that the short blade has the same weapon shortcut as the throwing knives, which allows you to use the short blade as a defensive tool and to attack enemies in melee range. If an enemy is out of range, though, you'll automatically use a throwing knife to take them down, which can be handy to thin the ranks in large fights. Sometimes you can wind up wasting throwing knives, though, such as if you try to use the short blade to attack an enemy that's on the ground; you'll often wind up chucking a knife into the air instead of attacking with the blade.

It's worth noting that, even though the timing is trickier, if you pull off a counter with the short sword you will pretty much always perform an instant kill on almost any enemy, including the final bosses. It's a powerful tactic if you're good at countering blows with the normal sword and wish to try to exercise your skills a bit more.

Throwing Knives

Throwing knives are your sole method of dealing damage at range. When you're locked onto an enemy, you'll throw a knife directly at them, which will usually result in an instant kill. This can be done in combat or outside of combat, but if you're in combat and your enemy is close, you'll use the short blade instead. Some of the tougher enemies, like Templars or assassination targets, will be hit by the knives, but not killed, resulting in an alarm.

You'll also have a tough time hitting moving targets from a distance, but the knives are great for hitting stationary targets like archers or the guards around a citizen that needs to be saved. You can also drop a body onto the ground to lure over guards, then snipe anyone that investigates with your knives.

You only have a limited amount of knives on your person, however. If you run out, or need more, you can return to Masyaf, or find a thug to pickpocket. Thugs are the roaming, portly gentlemen with reverse fannypacks. While normal civilians won't be outlined in white as you move through a crowd, thugs will. Lock onto them and pickpocket them to restore five throwing knives per thug, per pickpocketing.

Freedom Fighters PC

Freedom Fighters

Anyone looking for thrilling action with refined control and a great premise need look no further than Freedom Fighters.

It must take a lot of work to make a squad-based action game. On top of having to deliver all the core aspects that any shooter should have--things like responsive gameplay and great graphics and sound--a game designer working with squad-style gameplay also has to worry a lot about artificial intelligence. All it takes is a smattering of instances where a player's AI squadmates get stuck on a wall or take an inefficient path around a few obstacles to really shatter the illusion of working with a team and turn the game into a drone-babysitting simulation. Freedom Fighters, the new game from the developers of last year's great Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, deftly avoids the many pitfalls of AI squad tactics, and this, combined with great control, mission design, and presentation, makes for a truly fantastic game

Freedom Fighters takes place in an alternate reality that never saw the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Instead, the Red threat has continued to grow since the end of World War II, taking hold in countries as close to home as Cuba and Mexico. The game opens with the plumbing team of Chris and Troy Stone paying a visit to the clogged sink of Isabella Angelina, who also happens to be a vocal member of a watchdog organization devoted to informing the American public about the evils of the Soviet Union. The duo enters her apartment to find that it has been hastily evacuated, and soon after, Soviet troops bust in to try to find her, only to capture Troy instead. The Soviet invasion of the US has begun.

After that brief setup, you're thrust into the role of Chris Stone, and you hook up with Isabella's resistance movement almost immediately. Operating from the sewers beneath New York City, the movement aims to overthrow the invaders and drive the communists out of the country. You'll start as a lowly member of the team, but you grow in popularity and influence as the game goes on, and Chris will slowly transform from an average 32-year-old plumber into a battle-hardened leader.

The game isn't terribly long-winded in its storytelling. Most of the game's plot is advanced by a series of humorous Soviet-run newscasts, which cover your actions as terrorist activities. Your missions are laid out in the rebel base, and the briefings are great at explaining the strategic significance of, say, reclaiming a high school building for the red, white, and blue. Though the story is told well and works great in the context of the game, it's pretty short on substance. Aside from a foreshadowed plot twist that you can see coming from a mile away, not a whole lot happens in the game. It must also be said that the game doesn't provide much closure at the end, simultaneously setting up for a sequel while not really leaving you with a tremendous feeling of accomplishment. A more climactic final mission would have gone a long way. These things hardly affect the incredible quality of the game's action, though.

At the outset, Freedom Fighters plays like a rock-solid third-person shooter, with smooth and responsive controls. You can shoot from the hip or raise your weapon for precision firing, which causes the camera to zoom in slightly for a cool over-the-shoulder view. You have an inventory of items and the ability to carry a pistol and one primary weapon, such as a shotgun, an assault rifle, a sniper rifle, a machine gun, a rocket launcher, or a submachine gun. You'll also be able to carry grenades, Molotov cocktails, high explosives, binoculars, and health packs that restore your health when used, though they can also be used to heal wounded civilians or other freedom fighters.

Once you've operated on your own for a little while and have gotten used to the control, thanks to some well-placed training messages, the game gives you the ability to command up to two other squad mates. By increasing your charisma rating--which goes up as you complete missions and can also be given optional boosts if you rescue prisoners or heal civilians--you can eventually control up to 12 soldiers simultaneously. Running with a crowd definitely makes Freedom Fighters feel like a much larger game, and the late-game firefights that erupt when you have a larger squad are extremely impressive and, more importantly, a lot of fun.

Squad control is both simple and effective in Freedom Fighters. You need only three buttons to command your troops on the battlefield. The recall button forces troops to fall in behind you. The attack button can be used to send troops after a specific soldier, or you can target a general area to get troops to cover specific locations. Finally, the defend button is used to get troops to hold their position. Tapping the buttons will assign commands to one member of your squad, but holding the button down for a split-second longer assigns the command to your entire squad, which is usually more effective.

The squad AI isn't perfect--we saw our troops get hung up when attempting to climb down onto some train tracks, and we saw one instance of a squad member not taking the most efficient path to its destination--but its rare problems are easily overlooked because the rest of the time they work very well, and using your team effectively is really satisfying. Squadmates support each other and naturally use the urban terrain for cover. You can effectively lead their charge, or you can let them do a lot of the work themselves and support them with covering fire. The squad dynamic lends the action a great deal of variety, ensuring that no two skirmishes will play out in quite the same fashion.

Virtua Tennis 4 - [SKIDROW] [Game for PC]

Virtua Tennis 4

Virtua Tennis 4 (Sega Professional Tennis: Power Smash 4 in Japan) is the third sequel to Sega's tennis game franchise, Virtua Tennis. It was released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii. A Playstation Vita version is under development. Virtua Tennis 4 is the first numbered game of the series without an arcade release.

Gameplay

The game supports the PlayStation Move controller on the PlayStation 3, the Kinect[1] on the Xbox 360, and the Wii MotionPlus on the Wii. All previously mentioned devices are optional. Virtua Tennis 4 allows the player to step into the shoes of some of the world's best tennis pros. The game supports stereoscopic 3D on the PlayStation 3. When the PlayStation Move is used, the character's left and right movement is automatic but each swing of the racquet must be performed by the player and one can drop back or rush to the net by physically stepping back or forward. There is a dynamic camera system in place, so when the ball is in the other half of the court, the camera pans out so that one can see one's position.

When the ball is coming towards the player, it glides into a first person viewpoint where the player can see their racquet in front of him and time their swing accordingly. The player can twist the racquet to adjust its face when it connects with the ball, allowing skilled players to apply spin. [2]
[edit]
Players

On 1 January 2011, a trailer was released on the YouTube channel of Sega America[3] with a partial list of players that were confirmed for the game. On their blog entry published the same day[4], it is announced that there will be seven new inclusions to the game.

Six days later, on the Facebook page of the game, the full list of players was released. On 31 March, on the same media, it was announced that 3 legends were included to the game. However, these will be exclusive for PlayStation 3 (along with 2 new mini-games).

You can create eight of your own avatar tennis players and help them make their way up through the world rankings.

Development

This is the first game to be developed by the original Virtua Tennis Team Sega AM3 since 2006.

Despite the fact that Sega opted to skip GamesCom, Virtua Tennis 4 was revealed at the convention at Sony's booth

On 7 June 2011, Sega confirmed that the game will be available at the PlayStation Vita as a launch title for the console

Do randy orton rko smack down and how to BREAK A PINFALL

this is a type of hint. play as Randy Orton and when the match starts go to the
place from where superstars come . you will see your opponent(s) running towards
you and when he just reaches to you quickly press [s+walking backward / s+up arrow].
note :this only works if your opponent is running towards you , not walking.

To break a pin-fall just tap all arrow keys and all function keys i.e. A+S+D at same
time fastly and quickly. it also functions to wake up your superstar when he is lying
down quickly. enjoy the game. if you have any other difficulty just ask it on my emailSubmit your codes!

NFS UNDERGROUND 2

NFSU2+NFSMW RIP PC

Need for Speed: Underground breaks from the super-car tradition of its predecessors and takes a more down-to-earth tack with its cars. You won't find any Porsches or Lamborghinis in this game. Instead, you'll take ordinary, entry-level to midrange vehicles and customize their look and performance with off-the-shelf modifications, making your ride truly yours. You'll take your baby Underground, racing in the dark of night against others who also treat their vehicles as members of the family.

To help you along the way, we've prepared this guide. In it, you'll find hints and tips relevant to racing in general, quick tips and information on each of the game's 112 Underground mode challenges, notes on each of the game's base and unlockable vehicles, upgrades, and tracks, and of course cheats for those of you who prefer to eschew the unlocking route and just go at the game as you please. Also included are lists of what is unlocked when in the appendix.

Enjoy the guide, and we hope we can help you shave that extra second off your time!
